Recent projects and teams

We aim to deliver success in ways appropriate to the teams that we work with.  Therefore what we do, and how we work, is tailored to each business.  But we always align to our core values and based upon key ingredients.

Over the last 10 years, in addition to the current clients, we've worked with various clients in and around Cambridgeshire on either ICT strategy and direction, leadership, or implementation projects.  There have been various small clients, the most significant of which include:

Scudamore's Punting in Cambridge

Scudamore's Punting aims "to create timeless Cambridge  memories".  They are the largest punting company in Cambridge, and their vision is "to act as ambassadors for Cambridge by providing the best possible experience of boating on the river, whether for recreation, learning or work. To make the pleasure of being on the water accessible to everybody, regardless of age, ability or experience. To be the place where Cambridge comes to enjoy the river."

Serving over 250,000 visitors per year, with between 100 and 250 staff depending upon the time of year, technology is a key part of both marketing and sales, as well as operational delivery.  Since 2015, Dave, through IS Online has been delivering IT strategy to help Scudamore's succeed.

At various points this has involved guiding IT strategy and direction, coordinating with various team leaders and members across marketing, sales, operations and finance, coaching and developing inhouse software developers, coordinating external software developers and commercial off the shelf providers, and from 2024 - 2026 providing a virtual CIO service to align an in house ICT team.

Conservators of the River Cam.png

Conservators of the River Cam

The Conservators of the River Cam have been the statutory navigation authority for the River Cam between Bottisham Lock, Waterbeach, to the Mill Pond in Cambridge since 1702

The Conservators' mission is to:

  • maintain the River Cam between  the Mill Pond and Bottisham lock in a good and navigable condition

  • strike a balance between the needs of all the river users and riverside landowners and residents

  • manage the river in a manner sensitive to environmental  interests.

IS Online Ltd worked with the team within the Cam Conservancy office, and with Rick at Made Headway Ltd, to design and implement and operate a hosted web based system for managing the licensing of all craft on the River Cam, with a mobile application for monitoring and enforcement.
